Boat of the Year
The Boat of the Year
Selecting any particular boat as the definitive “Boat of the Year” is such a difficult task to carry out. This is because many amazing vessels were released in the past year. As such, picking one over the other may be impossible.
As a result, we have decided not to pick a singular boat, but to present a list of boats that qualify well for that title. Thus, presented here is a list of “boats of the year” 2020.
Zin Z2R
In the runabout boat category, the Zin Z2R clearly leads. As with many runabouts, it is quite elegant; but the Z2R takes runabout boating to another level.
One unique feature of the Zin Z2R is that it is electric, making it one of the pioneers of eco-friendly water transportation.
Most other electric boats do compromise on one or two features such as speed or range or design. But the Z2R features high speed and can still last for as long as a day out on the water. There is also technology to help you know how much power is left.
Axopar 28 Cabin
This Axopar 28 features luxury, style and functionality to give riders a home-away-from-home feeling while away on the water.
It is one of the few boats on the best boats’ list to allow riders overnight stays. There is a special pilothouse with double chairs. This is to allow for multi-driver capabilities; it also functions to give ample space to the single driver.
Coupled with all the above is a modest peak speed of 54 MPH, which is quite fast enough for a cabin boat.
Nautique G25 Paragon
Technology, performance and build. These are the hallmarks of the Nautique G25 Paragon.
The 25-feet long boat features space enough to seat at least 19 persons. There is enough storage scattered all around the boat – under the seats, in the engine compartments.
The Nautique G25 is a Hi-Tech boat with multifunction displays (MFDs) that allow you to control everything that goes on in the boat. You can make the settings directly on the screens, or away from the screens using a Control Dial.
It can be said that the highlight of the G25 is the telescoping tower; it is the only boat with such a tower. The tower protects against rain showers and adds some form of shade.
Fountain 38C
Looking like a vintage boat, the Fountain brings about old-age boat elegance but with super-fast vessel capabilities. Although it is a centre-console, its speed of 95 MPH rivals that of many sport boats. A Mercury Racing engine powers this extraordinary speed.
Despite the speed, the Fountain 38C features a fuel-efficient system that enables the boat to last days on the water with just a full tank.
The boat’s interior features a three-row seating arrangement that makes this boat perfect for boat parties and other fun activities on the water.
Bennington 23 SCCTTX
In the fishing boat category, the Bennington 23 SCCTTX is a winner. One key feature of the boat is its hybrid, dual-purpose make. It was made to combine the best features of a pontoon boat and a centre-console, to deliver maximum utility to the user.
It was designed to function properly as a fish boat, with many fish-friendly features dotting the entire boat area. For instance, there is ample storage for freshwater creatures.
However, on the other hand, it is also a luxurious boat, with Hi-Tech and comfortable features to give surfers premium treatment while on water.
